Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all the Fellowship Quilters
I was sorry to have to miss such a great party and as Della sent me text pictures I could see what a great time everyone was having.  We celebrate the season of Christmas for many reasons that are personal for each of us.  However as quilters I think we also celebrate our fellowship with each other and our joy at being  able to share our passion with fabric and bringing joy to people in our lives. I am joyful to know each one of you and continue treasure each time we gather.
Thank you....and enjoy the pictures

Lots of red sweaters and big smiles!

Last months project was such an inspiration and  you can see Della and Lois did the same thing but they are different.

Sue is in the Christmas spirit with this table runner!
Phyllis made this fun little quilt...love the colors.
Margaret made this great quilt above...love the colors..  and Claudia is sticking with the Christmas theme!

UFO's are so great to see and this is adorable!!
Bev made a bunch of these..very cute.
Judy and Pat thrilled everyone with prizes!!  We can always count on some surprises and fun from them!!  Merry Christmas to all of you...See you next year.  Kathy

October Fellowship Quilters

Greetings to all the Fellowship Quilters who were at the last meeting.  We had a record number of members, over 60,  and lots of beautiful quilts to  enjoy as many of you  have been busy.  Must be the cold weather!!  Or maybe it is the UFO challenge!
Mary had a few projects and they are beautiful as usual.  (sorry for the blurry picture)
Karen does such great wall hangings..she is an inspiration!!
Just so we don't think that all she can make is artsy wall hanging/art pieces she showed this fantastic quit.   I can't remember the pattern but took a close up of the block below...Great job Karen!!

Joy put lots of work into this one...love the outdoor theme and the different blocks.
Judy had this top done but not quilted yet...love the pattern and colors
Bobbie has been into her quilting room lots as she showed two quilts she finished..beautiful as usual.
Bev made this attractive jacket...I love the colors!!
We do the block of the month to help increase our stash of charity quilts.  It is so fun to learn a square that you would not have done yourself. Jackie is presenting the block above.
Our program today was to bring our fabric cut into specific pieces and the placed in a paper bag.  With various trades and much laughter we each ended up with 4 different fabrics and this is the block we made.  It will be very scrappy, each block different, with the white star in the center to sign for quilts for members in need.   Thanks to our Leader Tracey for this fun project.
The work bee is already past and our new project is to make some weighted quilts for special needs children.  Hope it went well and I am sure we will be working on this for awhile.
Thanks to everyone for such an enjoyable day!!  Kathy

New Quilting Season

Greetings Fellowship Quilters!!
The new quilting season has started and I have already missed two meetings due to family conflicts.  I even missed the meeting that I was to do the program!!!  It is a good thing that I have a friend who has my back ... Della  taught you how to make the mesh snap bags.  Sounds like everyone liked making them...I did too.
Tracy looks hard at work with the quilt block carrier and I look forward to seeing the finished products.
Della also took pictures but no commentary so we will have to all provide that ourselves...
Lots of laughs and fun as usual!!
We are a group of very hard workers when it comes to quilt projects!!!

So add your own comments and make up some stories to go
with the rest of these great pictures

This looks like a block of the month project...great job everyone!!!
I hope to see lots of you at the next meeting in October  and look forward to laughs, fellowship and inspiration   from my favorite group of quilters!!!    Kathy

June Picnic

It is hard to believe that another year of Fellowship Quilters has flown by and we are into the summer of 2014!!
As usual it has been a wonderful year with some great programs and the fellowship for which this quilting group is famous.  We are a friendly and supportive group of women with such a love for quilting that it blows me away!!
The June picnic was at Joan's community center for which we thank her very much...the food was spectacular as usual..such creative cooks!

Several views of the tables with all the smiling faces!!  I tried to get everyone but I think I missed a few tables.  We had about 40 members present!!!

Claudia raises the bar very high with this  beautiful quilt.  The writing is felted wool cut on the bias and then sewn on.  Love the skill of the work and the sayings of the quilt.

Linda made this gem to brighten her walls this summer.
Bobbi had several quilts to show but this one was a surprise..a block of the month from several years ago that had been forgotten.  Turned out wonderful!
Marva has been hard at work for the little people in her life...this is one of two she showed.
Lynn made this from blocks  from Marcia's stash after she passed away.  So special.  She also announced that she has only 2 items left in her UFO box!!  Wow!!!  She is my hero!
Sharon made this beautiful wall hanging..what you can't see is that there is yarn around the edge of the flower and the pistol...it is a feast for the eyes.
Margaret took the half square triangle exchange we had several years ago to make this great ...not sure if it is a wall hanging or a table topper...and shows the true meaning of scrappy.
Dianne brought this quilt top that was a paper piece project the group did..it is really stunning and was a true exercise in points!!
I will be sending a reminder for the Summer Strip Party on June 24th in a week or so.
Thanks to all of  you for enjoying this blog...I love being able to share with all of you.   Kathy
