I was not able to do the September blog as we were out of town and I could not seem to download the pictures. Anyway I am up and running now. We had a great group of quilters for the morning program and even more for the meeting and the popular Show and Tell.
The morning project, presented by Pat, was the litter bag. It is a useful item that can be changed up for many different uses.
We talked about the upcoming programs and finished up the sign ups for hostesses. Just a reminder to everyone that we do have a few members that can only eat gluten free food so please try and include something in the food provided at lunch time.
Barb showed the two quilts for the Habitat for Humanity Homes. They are for a Veteran and his son. Great job quilters!!
Great colors Barb.
Bobbi is defiantly an over achiever. She brought many quilts, many for the closet.
She says she is using up her stash...how much can she have???? We may never know.
Sue made this adorable Bear from orphan blocks as a challenge. He is so cute. Named Pinky.
The quilt below is a T shirt quilt called "a House Divided" MSU vs U of M.
What a beautiful quit! Donna made this from scraps and it is called Gypsy Wife. Lots of work there!
Tracey made this panel look fantastic for the thankful season. It is amazing to me how panels have become so attractive and fun to work with over the last few years.
Three tops and she has some blocks left!
Barb has a special work bee scheduled at the Presbyterian church on Oct 21st, 9:30 to 3pm. The Occupational Therapist from Oak Park School will be coming to help us make more weighted blankets. They want smaller blankets, 18 x 24 for the younger kids. They need about 10 new blankets. So if you have any fleece to donate let Barb know.
