January Hand Sewing

I always seem to have computer issues...the pictures would not download but a miracle has happened and now they do.  Why you ask?? No idea!!
We had a lovely meeting with Sue showing us hand sewing skills.  We made a heart that features several stitches and the places to use them.  Much fun, fellowship and laughter which is the way we do it in Fellowship Quilters.  Thank you Sue!!!
Tracing the pattern and also a few of some of Sue's handiwork
Barb made this table runner for her daughter in laws mother...she loves blue.
Della took the collage quilting class from Laura Hinne.  It is fussy cut, fused and then quilted.  Many small pieces make a lovely wall hanging!!
Ruth made this wall hanging for her front hallway.  It will look very welcoming!!
She also made this stunning quilt. The block is 22 inches and uses 53 separate pieces for each block and 6 colors and the background.  Really fantastic.
Then she decreased the width of the pieces and made a table runner!!  Beautiful!
Lynn made these for the closet...the first one was a class she took from Elsa at Material Girl a few years ago
The quilt below is a fall themed quit so she is ready early!!  Beautiful applique.

Kathy showed the wool table topper, the kit was a gift from Della...ready for spring.  Fun to make.
I got this pattern/kit out in Montana.  I love the muted colors and the simple quilting.    I plan to make it in some other colorways.   It was fun and easy.
The February meeting will be a no sewing machine meeting.  I will be sending out the instructions soon for the necklace and the scarf.   Stay warm!!!  Kathy
