Greetings Fellowship Quilters. I am behind this month and just getting out the April blog...the meeting is already next week!! We will be doing an exciting project called Mola, reverse applique which will be taught by our own Karen Dill. The picture to the left and the ones below are examples of the end product. Karen assured us that it is not as complicated as we think it is and that we will be able to make a beautiful picture. I already sent out the material list etc and I hope every one got it ok. I will try and send it again with my meeting notice.
We had a great meeting with many snow birds back and rejoining the group. It is nice to see people again and find out what new and exciting projects they have been doing all winter. I did not take any pictures of the program today..miniature quilts but we had good participation and hope to see some finished products at the May meeting. I have mine done! A big thanks to Sharon and Ruth.
Barb showed this quilt with embroidered blocks that was made from the closet. She does not know who made the blocks... any ideas?? Barb and Vi put it together.
Vi made her salvage project from last month int an envelope purse which was taught by Pat at another meeting. She also proudly showed her first embroidery project.
Sue has been busy!! Two panel quilts that look very different.
These two quilts she took apart and put back together to make unique quilts.
The angle quilt below was made from donated fabric!
Another wonderful veterans quilt to bring joy to whoever is lucky enough to get it!!
Judy is always busy making something for other people in her life. The bag above is for a young lady going off to college and the quilt below is for her favorite student.
Karen is one of the snow birds who returned to us and had many projects to share. The large star is called "pointing the way" . The wall hanging below is very whimsical and all about our quilting rooms.
The table runner is an easy cathedral window pattern and adorable paper pieced Christmas trees below. Never too soon to be ready for the holiday's.
The item above is a folded block wall hanging that is very interesting. The picture does not do it justice. Karen is so good at combining different mediums. The tree below is painted fabric with the swing. Just adorable.
Mary Lou made a baby quilt with great airplane fabric! Ruth made this quilt for a boy grand baby.
Pat paper pieced this star quilt that really looks wonky!! She also made the quilt below for her doctor who is having her first child. Lots of monkeys!
Carol made these adorable quilts for a neighbor who has two grand boys.
Liz made this striking cathedral window table runner...love it.
Tracy showed her challenge garden quilt. A group of 6 women picked a theme and made 6 of the same block and then exchanged. Each quilter put hers together as she wanted. Sounds like fun.
Dells finished her holiday light bulbs with great quilting...they really sparkle!
Ruth was on a marathon baby quilt sew this winter and brought lots of great quilts.
Lots of pink which is fun.
Hope to see lots of you next week. I will be sending out the meeting notice after I post this. Love and hugs. Kathy
