January Fun

Greetings to all the Fellowship Quilters who are in warmer weather.  Those of us who are still in Michigan had a great January meeting with a fun project that Della presented on fabric dying.  As you can see from the pictures we got to practice and the results are specular.   I know we will see some of the results in projects that will be coming in the next few months.  We tried tissue paper, sharpies, ice dying and regular tie dying.
Look at all the great looking creations !!

Wow and a double Wow for all these beauties.

Lynn always has all the creds of a classy quilter...She said "just do it"  and it got finished!!
Chris presented this Star quilt made from a jelly roll patters from Missouri Quilt.  Love the colors!!  The picture below shows how she wrote her label on the binding.  Very cool.
This quilt Donna made is very bold and bright.  I love it!!

I even make an appearance with some snap baskets.  Fun to make.  The Christmas table runner is a little late in appearing but is all ready for next year.  The 2 1/2 inch squares were given to me as a thank you present from all of you.  I think it turned out great.

Joanne made this quilt and it really pops!!!
Sue showed the new block of the month from Quilt n Bee.  Also her Santa quit that she cross stitched 20 years ago and took the Santa's out of another quilt and placed them as below..wonderful.
Sue showed this antique quilt from her mothers house.  She does not know who made it but it is hand stitched and the picture does not due it justice.  The fabrics are beautiful.
Judy has made a great purse and a beautiful pink "survivors" jacket.
Yes you are seeing Barb and Della in big bibs but they are not having a lobster dinner!!  These are our new charity project for the disabled kids at TBA.  We will make 18 bibs to start with as some kids wear several during a day. Come to the Work Bee next week to help out.  Keep warm...Kathy
