September Fellowship Quilters

Hello Quilters.  I have been a procrastinator and finally getting it together to get this blog out.   I missed the first meeting and will try and get those pictures, taken by Della, up next.  We had a large meeting in September and it started out with a guest speaker.  Linda Mead from Cherry Country Quilters in Sutton's Bay joined us with a few tips and tricks.  She did a demo that I have shown here with tin foil and makes the flag be 3 D.  Very fun.  She also had lots of interesting information to share with members about patterns, scraps and her store.  Thanks to Linda for a fun program!!

Thanks Linda for joining us at Fellowship Quilters!!
We are doing block of the month this year.  Here is the first one...themed for the season!!
Roberta is doing the program in October and the three pictures here are example of her 3D process.  I sent the list of what to bring in an email but will repeat it before the next meeting.  Looks like fun!

Jackie brought this fantastic pillow that she learned to make in Minnesota.  Beautiful.
Barb showed this quilt she made 25 years ago when she worked at JoAnn's  She always does beautiful work!!
Barb made this Quilt of Valor from orphan blocks...what a treasure!
Barb can be counted on for a good story.  The quilt above is a result of a trip to County Stitches..she saw the example and bought the ruler.  Also a great holiday table runner!

Cindy made this for her granddaughter who loves cats...very fun!

Judy showed the quit above a scrappy crazy quilt and the quilt below is an adorable dog for her granddaughter.  It is quilted with a paw pattern!!

Lynn made the table runner above and the fall themed quilt below.  The quilt below is entered in the RQK quilt show...its a winner!

Patty has been busy.  The quilt above is a lego design...love it.  She also made a quilt of valor below and will go to a friend.  Some of the blocks were made by her mom.

Marcia made this quilt of valor from material she got from a FQ drawing.
I made this little baby quilt from 5 inch squares...so easy and cute.
Della is working hard on the monthly wall hanging project.  Two months can be checked off the list.
Hope to see you all in October!!
