Merry Christmas Quilters

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday's to all our Fellowship Quilters.  We had a wonderful party last week.  Linda and all her helpers outdid themselves and we were a merry group.  Lots of laughter and fun activities along with delicious food from the students of the Tech Center.  It is great to see those kids working hard and learning.  As we all know, there is always new skills to learn.  I am sure I did not catch every one at the tables but we had a great attendance.

Trudy had to leave early so she showed this T shirt quilt that she made for a friends son.  It looks snugly with lots of interesting T shirts

I do not know if ?? is blocking the picture or volunteering.  Hmmmm

Sue also made a T shirt quilt with a shadow box effect that is fantastic.  They are all Pearl Jam shirts
I think that is Chris hiding behind this cute duck baby quilt.
Judy is at it again with cute bags.   A ditty bag for a grandson and a purse with a funny story for a grand daughter.
Jackie won the block of the month from last month and has already put her quilt together.   Great Job and it made a great looking quilts.
She also showed this cute tree made by her daughter Tracey.  The picture does not show it but it lights up like the trees we made last year.   Very cool!!!
Jacky made this T shirt/clothing memory quilt for her nephews widow.  What a special quilt.

Ruth has been busy with knitting as well as adorable quilting items.

She has one Christmas place mat done and still time to finish another!!
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year.  We will meet again in January!!  I will be sending out a list of supplies and directions after the first of the year.  Kathy

November Fun

The November weather has come with a vengeance and I think we are going to have a long winter.  Good thing we are quilters and have something to keep us occupied on those snowy cold days.
This months program was presented by Judy and she did a great teaching  job with keeping us on track to make her pea pod zip bag.  So cute and with so many uses.  She was very generous and shared her zipper collection with us which made the project go even faster.
Thanks so much Judy!!

This looks weird but I took a picture of the directions to get in touch with Hospice if you are interested in making a bear below.  Families provide the fabric which has a special meaning, from the loved one they lost, and you would make a bear out of it.   The pattern is pretty straight forward.  For questions call Liz whose number is in the second photo.   A great idea.

This snowflake is the block of the month done by Chris.  We are to choose a light blue background and a white snowflake.  Use a light weight stabilizer when cutting out snowflake and then fuse on to blue fabric.  Machine applique on to the blue...she used small zig zag.
Vi made the quilt above with a class at Quit and B and will donate it to the closet, for a Habitat quilt!
Just beautiful with each block so unique.
She also made this 9 patch star...I love blue and white.  So crisp and sharp!!  Quilted by Chris.
Love this title..fractured snails tail....this is for the baby pantry.
This was cut on an acu cut and is so bright and cheery.  It has minky backing.

So who is this hiding....I missed the name...great kids quilt.
Cathy has been busy with these two baby quilts.

Judy has gone above and beyond with the baby pantry.  She made two bags with a variety of items for a new baby.  Some lucky family with be so thrilled

She also made these adorable pillows.
Tracy made the mitten scarf that our guest a few months ago showed us...warm and snugly

I made this for my daughter in law...already printed on the fabric and I quilted it onto the green.  Really made it pop!
Fun project with 2  1/2 inch strips
Judy made this bear quilt for  a friends grandchild that lives in Texas.   It is flannel and so cute !
Shawn has been working on her UFO's.  Very cute.

Sue made this cute reindeer as part of and on line challenge.  Very cute...hope we see a pattern out of it as she is so talented!!
Here is the pea pod group!

Della made several of these gray quilts...very striking.  The orange quilt is made from leftovers and really turned out fantastic!!
Lynn made these three Snowmen and she has three grandsons who love winter.  So cute.
Hope we see lots of you next week at the Christmas party.
We had a large collection of items for the baby pantry which is so generous of all of you.  They will be put to great use and Sally was overwhelmed with your generosity.   Thanks to all of you great quilters.
