June Indoor Picnic

It is hard to believe that the 2018-2019 Fellowship Quilters year is over.  We had our Indoor Picnic last week and combined it with a fundraising Paddle Auction.  There were lots of interesting items that we drooled over and then bid on.  Jackie sent out the totals but I will repeat them as they are impressive!!
Total from Paddle Auction $778
sent to the baby pantry  $622.40
FQ treasury                   $155.60

Great Job ladies!!!!

The brown bag group with their finished projects to return to the original fat quarter owner.  A very diverse group of projects.
Three of the new leaders for next Year.   Madeline, Patti, Chris and Sally.  Hope every one has a great summer.  Barb has a work bee scheduled for August 14th...stay tuned for more info!!

May Fellowship

Greetings Quilters.  We had a fun meeting with the program being rope baskets and other items.  We have done this before but these were a bit different as we did not wrap the rope with fabric.  The natural color of the rope combined with small amounts of fabric, colored thread and beads made some beautiful baskets and mats.  Such inventive members with imaginations!
We had some new members and discussed the last meeting of the year, June 11th indoor picnic at the church.  Prior to the lunch we will have a paddle auction to help raise money for the Grand Traverse Baby Pantry and a portion of the $$ going to our group to help buy batting and supplies for the charity quilts.  Should be a great meeting with lots of fun, fellowship and fundraising.  Be sure and bring your items for the auction by 9:30 and it will start at 10.  bring a dollar to buy a paddle and quarters to use in the auction. Also bring a dish to share and your table service.  We do have disposable if you forget but we are trying to reuse and be a less of a consumer of plastic and Styrofoam.

The charity block looks fun and everyone will make four.  Thanks Sally!!

So here are the bowls that members worked on today.  Fantastic ladies.

Barb has been busy which is not a surprise to anyone....lots of quilts for the closet
